Zoo

this past weekend we went to the zoo! our sweet friend gave us free tickets to a special event there.  we played games.
the kids had their faces painted.
the new exhibit, giants of the savanna, is so amazing.  you can see the elephants and giraffes up close.

before we left we took a ride on the merry go round.  i think it was a little loud for isaac.

Build a Bear

this year we were able to find a homeschool girl scout troop.  the two little girls, ella and avery have had the greatest time with the troop.  towards the end of the year, with the money raised from our cookie sales, we took the girls to build a bear.  they had so much fun.  they each made a bear and earned a patch.

to all those who bought cookies from my girls, THANK YOU and we'll be hittin you up next year.

We won tickets

i know i'm so behind in keeping you people updated on what we've been up to. Lastnight i was looking at some pics and thought i'd tell you what we did this year. i took the kids to the grocery store with me and to my surprise the dallas cowboy cheerleaders were there!
the boy was too shy to pose for a picture so he stayed safely behind my legs.  they were also having a drawing for cowboy tickets.  the kids were the only ones able to enter so i had four chances on winning! i knew i had all these kids for a reason.  lexy won!

we surprised tino with the tickets when he got home.  now to say he was overjoyed is an understatement.  i'm convincesd the man was born with a cowboy jersey.  we won two adult tickets and two child tickets. avery and ella didn't care to go so we took isaac and lexy.  look at isaac, the boy was on cloud 9.

the boys had to play in the parking lot as we walked to the stadium.  tino said it was something he'll never forget.
this is the car that isaac said he wanted.  great! he's gonna be a cowboy fanatic just like his daddy.  i better start praying for his wife now.

albertson's gives tickets away all the time and we had VIP passes and all.  they also had a bbq before the game that we attended an the kids played games.
our seats were in the end zone baby!

we had the grandest time ever! we never thought we'd be able to go see the cowboys in their new stadium during their first season there.  what great memories my son will have!
