Destin

We had our family vacation to Destin this summer.  It was so amazing and we had a blast.

Dolphin watching!

Family date night! We found this great Irish pub, the steaks were so delicious!  This place had dollars stapled to the walls, doors, and even the ceiling!  There were more that 100,000 dollars in this place from what they tell us.

Guess who's playin flag football?!

This fall Isaac chose to play football instead of baseball.  What a relief!  Being team mom for his baseball team was so overwhelming, but now I have a break. He is playing with a church league so there is almost NO yelling from the parents so we definitely stand out like a sore thumb.  Tino paces the sidelines yelling instructions to Isaac.  He loves sports and so do our kids.  I snapped a few shots of his first game. None of Tino since he doesn't stay still.

8/9/10

8/9/10 was the date on Monday and the Girl Scouts of NETX ( north east Texas) partnered with a great cause.  Each Girl Scout collected 8 cans of food, 9 gently used or new books and each girl had to come up with their own perfect 10 for the community.  I took the girls to this event close to our house to make a drop off of our goods.  The Fox 4 news crew was there to interview a few girls and feature the project on Clarice Tinsley's home town heroes.  This will air Monday August 16 at 5:30, I hope Avery makes the cut.  The girls perfect 10 was to donate 10 of their toys to the Good Will.

Really?!

I saw this and couldn't help but to pray for our nation as a whole.  My heart aches for the next generation.  I know God gave us children to raise.  Public schools are government run and some children are there for up to 8 hours a day! Can you just imagine what they are subject to?  We homeschool our kids not only for this reason but because I know I'm training up an army of four here and I don't want to miss anything I am supposed to teach them not with my words but also by my actions.  I don't want to shelter my children to but inform them of millions of hurting people that one day they will reach. I'm tired of the enemy coming to steal our children.

Guitar Recital

Lexy took a guitar class this year at our co-op.  This was her favorite class.  She learned so much and is doing so well, I can't wait to hear what else she learns.  At the end of the year all the music classes had a recital, it was very impressive to hear all ages play.
