Will she ever know?

Tomorrow Lexy will have a recognition chapel at her school. Its a time of reflection of the year. The entire 6th grade will be recognized for completing their lower school studies and moving on to the upper school. During this time the parents will have the opportunity to pray for their children. After this time we will watch a slide show of the kids from babies to the point they are at now, young God loving adults in training.

As I look back I think of so much. Will she EVER know the sacrifices I went through for her? Will she EVER know that I loved her so much even before I saw her? Will she EVER know that she was a gift from God and not a mistake? Will she EVER know that I love her now more than words can express? But then again I'm sure God is wondering the same about us.

I am such a proud mommy. My first born has finished the 6th grade and will be in the 7th grade next year. It goes by with lightning speed, I pray that God will equip me as a mother to train and teach her to be a God loving, friend, wife, and mother. Thank you God for giving me this amazing girl.

Just a swingin'

We were outside the other day when I took these pictures of the girls just a swingin'. They run and know the swing will catch them and send them flyin' through the air. I remember doing the same thing. Do you? So I tried it, after adjusting the swing a bit, man did it HURT!! Oh, well the memories of me doing it as a child will be the ones I remember not the painful recreation.

Just look at my Ella Claire, just enjoying her swing, and loving it.
What fun to be a carefree kid. Not a care in the world, just spending the hot spring day just a swingin'.

Avery had to join in on the fun! What a wonderful life! Praise God for days made for swingin'. What do you miss from your childhood?

Remembering...

I was scrapbooking today in my closet, turned scrapbook room. I came across a picture of my son, Isaac Gabriel. I remember when we were picking out his name I was dead set on naming him Triston! To me it sounded like a name with power. Go ahead say it out loud, doesn't it sound cool? Well to me it did. Tino of course HATED IT!! He thought it was a sissy name, no offense to anyone out there named Triston. So one night while I was laying in the hospital bed, long story I'll save it for another post, I prayed that God would tell me his name. So he did, He told me his name is Isaac. Isaac? I never really payed any attention to the name, sure I've heard it before but to name my son Isaac? So I looked for Isaac in the Bible and found the story of Isaac and his father Abraham. All the way to the place where they were to make an offering Abraham continued to tell Isaac, the Lord will provide. This simple statement hit me. DUH!! At that moment I knew why my son was to be named Isaac, because at the place we were both at, the Lord had to provide, there was nothing else that could be medically done for either of us. So his name is Isaac Gabriel. Isaac means laughter and Gabriel means man of God. Later I found out that Triston means sadness. Isn't God so cool to care so much about us that he will call us what we are even in the womb! Nowadays I can't stop this kid from laughing and being so silly. He brings so much laughter into our lives daily!
