Zoo Madness

Yesterday was half off day at the Ft. Worth Zoo. Yes, I knew it would be crazy and super full because of Spring Breakers but I was invited by a crazy homeschool mom. And being a little crazy myself I agreed to go with her. Tino called me before we left and told me all the news reports about how full and busy the zoo was. So we called the zoo and they rerouted us, which was awesome. It only took us a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to the zoo and get through the ticket line. As we were walking to the ticket counter people were turning around and saying that the ticket line was a two hour wait. LIARS!! They probably saw the never ending lines to the counter and just assumed it took two hours. It took us 15 minutes. It was crowded but the ten kids we took were doing good so we continued. This is what it looked like waiting in line. See that crazy blond headed woman in the front of our group, well that's the back of Stephanie's head. She was controlling her 5 and I was with my 5,Avery invited a friend.Stephanie was talking to people in line and they told their story of how they got to the zoo. A two hour wait from the freeway to the zoo parking!! NO WAY!! I would not have done that!! One lady said they ran out of gas, filled up and went back in the line from the freeway!! NUTS!! Really half off is not worth all that. When we finally got in the zoo it was crowded, but we saw some really pretty animals. Lexy took the pictures because I was too busy keeping up with everyone.

This is a picture of a crocodile. When we entered the zoo, I went to guest services and got a map for everyone so the kids could see where we were and where we were going. Ella found a picture of a crocodile on the map and she waited patiently to see him. When we got to him she just said oh! All that way for an "oh". It was worth it.
After the crocodile we left. It was a FULL and TIRESOME day. My feet are still throbbing!

Park Time

This week is Lexy's Spring Break. It's not ours as far as homeschool because my sweet grandmother pasted away last Tuesday. So our Spring Break was last week because we had so much going on. After having school in the morning we went to the park and had a picnic with one of Avery's favorite friends. Abby. These little monkey's were so excited to let out all their energy at the park. It rained so much last week we hardly ever went out.

Isaac is a NO FEAR type of boy. This boy will be the first to jump off of something and make my heart jump out of my chest. Climbing this wall was his favorite thing to do at the park. Just look at those bulging muscles that he used to pull himself up there.

When we were done playing, we went to feed the ducks. My kiddos do not like the crust on the bread of their sandwiches so I save all the crust and we go feed the ducks every week. So we headed on over there and fed our ducks.I caught my beautiful Lexy looking at the ducks. That girl loves nature so much. She would point out things that we didn't see, God has given her a sweet gift. To treasure His creation and to find the beauty in it.
